Henley's Driving School has been serving Northeastern, Ohio since 2003. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable learning environment with the highest level of safety, while empowering our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become safe and competent drivers. We provide a safe, fun, and stress free environment so the student can concentrate on the learning process.
Henley's Driving School and all of our instructors are licensed and certified by the State of Ohio Department of Safety. Not only that, most of our instructors are current or former school teachers.
Owner & Training Manager
Jack moved with his parents to Wooster, Ohio in 1959. Jack is a graduate of Wooster High School. In addition, he received a degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Wooster Business College. Jack worked at Clear Picture INC. for 26 years. He started Henley’s Driving School in August of 2003, and has personally driven with over 1,500 students and adults of all ages.
Jack has been married to Cathy for 32 years, and they have three children: Angie, Shawn, and Lindsay. Angie is a Special Education Teacher and is married to Brett, Shawn is a Director of Operations and married to Erin in Miami, Florida, and Lindsay is a special education teacher and married to Jeff. Jack has been coaching sports and teaching Sunday school classes for elementary, high school and adults for over 45 years.
Driving Instructor
Roger graduated from Wooster High School and formerly served 9 years with the Wayne County Sheriff's Reserves. He is a member of the West Hill Baptist Church and is retired from the Rittman Paperboard. Roger is married to Jennifer, a retired RN from the Wooster Community Hospital.
They have a son Matt, who is a student at DeVry University in Columbus, and their daughter Sarah, is a student at Smithville High School. Their other daughter Julie, is married to Ryan, and they have 3 grandsons. Roger began instructing at Henley's Driving School in October, 2008.
Our training vehicles are Toyota Camrys, America’s Best-Selling car 18 of the last 19 years. We chose these vehicles because of their outstanding track record for safety and reliability.
Camrys are a "Top Safety Pick +" by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety - the governmental body responsible for all vehicle safety testing and rating in the United States.
We want our students to have an enjoyable, easy to drive vehicle when learning how to drive for the first time.
They are dual controlled, meaning the instructor has their own set of brakes, as well as a list of top safety features to give our students and parents confidence and a peace of mind.
